Jeffrey Nichols

I am a studio potter living and working in Kentucky, but exhibiting my earthenware vessels both nationally and internationally. My work ranges from the functional to the decorative to the sculptural and is influenced by a wide array of subjects, specifically 17th century Chinese export porcelain, European palace wares, modernist sculpture, architecture, and nature. Because of my unique color process, each piece is a one of a kind, original work of art. I strive to incorporate beauty and harmony into my pottery while challenging perceptions of what utilitarian ceramics can be.
